National Cardiac Services Implementation Plan Oversight Group
National Cardiac Services Implementation Plan Oversight Group
We are delighted that IICMP board members Sharon Donohue and Natasha Daly have been nominated to sit on the National Cardiac Services Implementation Plan Oversight Group (IOWG).
The group plays a vital role in overseeing the implementation of the National Cardiac Services 3-Year Implementation Plan, providing strategic leadership, governance and accountability to ensure improvements in cardiovascular care are delivered effectively across Ireland.
Key areas of focus for the Oversight Group include:
Providing strategic guidance to support the delivery of improved cardiac services.
Supporting decision-making and addressing key issues requiring escalation.
Identifying and managing risks that could impact implementation.
Monitoring progress to ensure objectives and outcomes are achieved.
Championing the implementation of the plan and promoting positive outcomes.
Sharing expertise and engaging with key stakeholders across the health service.
Having IICMP representation at this national forum is a significant achievement and ensures that the voice, expertise and experience of our members contribute to shaping the future of cardiac care in Ireland.
The group held its first meeting in June, marking the beginning of this important work. We wish Sharon and Natasha every success in their new roles and look forward to the valuable contribution they will make on behalf of the IICMP and the wider Cardiac Physiology community.
