Welcome to IICMP

The Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Physiology is the recognised national body for the five professions of Clinical Measurement Physiology in Ireland.

We represent Cardiac, Gastrointestinal, Respiratory, Neurophysiology and Vascular Physiology.

We support the profession by setting high standards in education and clinical practice, providing national representation, and advising the state.

Through collaboration, professional development, and a focus on public protection, we support the profession’s growth and its essential role in high-quality patient care.

Clinical Measurement Physiologist

Clinical Measurement Physiologists are part of a group of professions known as Health and Social Care Professionals.

We mainly work in the area of diagnostics, carrying out tests directly on patients and very often providing reports on these tests. We also work in the therapeutic area, following up on initiated therapies to ensure compliance and effectiveness. The IICMP are the professional body who represent clinical measurement physiologists in Ireland. Our profession is comprised of five disciplines: GI, Cardiac, Respiratory, Neurophysiology and Vascular.
