Accreditation and Recognition of Qualifications

The Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Physiology is the sole representative professional body for Clinical Measurement Physiologists in Ireland, encompassing the five professions of Cardiac, Gastro-intestinal, Neurophysiology, Respiratory and Vascular Physiology. Is your Qualification Equivalent to Practice in Ireland as a Clinical Measurement Physiologist?

Clinical Measurement Physiologists’ can apply for IICMP Accreditation and Recognition  of their Qualifications to work in Ireland through the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Physiology (IICMP). We offer accreditation and recognition for any relevant clinical measurement qualifications that are not currently listed on the “Approved Qualifications” list. This includes qualifications obtained internationally and also those obtained within Ireland that are not currently on the approved qualifications list.

This process is fully supported and endorsed by the Department of Health.

Recognition and Accreditation of Qualifications – APPLICATION STEPS:

Please note:

  • The process can take up to 8 weeks. This period may be extended due to the volume of applications. Incomplete applications, missing documents or omitted fees will result in your application being delayed or paused.
  • An equivalent outcome of an application is not guaranteed, therefore you are strongly advised not to make work, travel or other arrangements which depend upon your qualification being accredited and recognised by the IICMP.
  • The IICMP Accreditation and Recognition of Qualification Application Fee is not refundable.
  • Applications will not be sent for assessment until the completed application form and all relevant documents, including third party submissions, have been received in full and payment has been received.
