Thank You to Patricia Lawlor – Welcome to Our New IICMP President

Dear Members,

On behalf of the IICMP, I wish to inform you that Patricia Lawlor has stepped down from her role as President of the IICMP. Patricia has served with exceptional commitment and passion, completing two terms (six years in total) as President—from 2012 to 2016, and again from 2023 until 28th April 2025.

Patricia was a founding member of the IICMP and has dedicated 21 years to serving in various capacities within the organisation since its formation in 2004. Her leadership, integrity, and commitment have played a vital role in the IICMP’s growth.

We would like to sincerely thank Patricia for her tireless efforts in representing our members and advocating for the profession at every level. She will continue to serve on the Board for a period as Past President, supporting the incoming President and helping to ensure the smooth transfer of organisational knowledge.

I would like to personally thank Patricia for her hard work, her unwavering dedication to our profession, and her support to me both in my role and throughout her service to the organisation. Her contribution has been truly invaluable.

I am pleased to share that Sharon Donohue has stepped into the role of President. Sharon previously served on the IICMP Board and returned as Vice President in October 2024. She currently holds the position of Chief II Cardiac Physiologist at St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Sharon brings with her a wealth of experience and leadership, having recently contributed to the National Cardiac Review and several other key national initiatives.

Please join me in extending our warmest wishes to Sharon as she begins her tenure as President. We look forward to Sharon’s contributions in this role and to the continued growth and impact of the IICMP under her leadership.

Warm regards,

Karen Dobbyn

IICMP CEO
