Watch Valerie Connell (IICMP Member) explain her role as a Senior Respiratory Physiologist in St. Claires, which is an Integrated Care Hub, where diagnostic services, included on the Integrated Care Program for Chronic Disease, are delivered to patients.

The Integrated Care Hub accepts referrals directly from GPs and Valerie performs Spirometry and Bronchodilator Response testing, for referred patients.  Valerie and the Respiratory consultant review the test and report the results back to the referring GP.

This fantastic and efficient service provides GPs with direct access to high quality testing services, which are performed by trained respiratory physiologists and avoids referring patients into busy hospital environments.
