 Winning Negotiations – Leadership Workshop, With Dr. Gearóid Hardy 

The IICMP, in partnership with Social Care Ireland and the Irish Association of Social Work, is delighted to offer an online Leadership Workshop with Dr. Gearóid Hardy.

This workshop is designed for senior managers and leaders seeking to strengthen their ability to deliver high-quality strategic services, even when facing team challenges and conflict.

Many leaders avoid or mishandle difficult conversations, often holding back out of fear of consequences. This one-day workshop tackles what makes these conversations tough and provides strategies and tools to handle them effectively — creating meaningful dialogue where both sides are satisfied with the outcomes.

Participants will learn to:

• Navigate conflict proactively
• Ensure all voices are heard
• Identify and implement practical, workable solutions

Adopting a mindset that sees conflict as a path to constructive disagreement, leaders can help teams boost performance, improve job satisfaction, strengthen colleague relationships, and drive innovation.

Biography of Workshop Presenter:

Dr. Gearóid Hardy is a leadership development consultant with 35+ years of experience driving change across public and private sectors.  He has worked in higher education, healthcare, financial services, technology, manufacturing, and policing.  His career spans Ireland and international markets, with extensive work across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the U.S.  For 25 years, Gearóid has been an adjunct lecturer, teaching leadership and management on MBA and Master’s programs worldwide.  He coaches CEOs and senior executives, including UCD leaders, from diverse sectors.  Known for asking tough, sometimes uncomfortable questions, he pushes leaders to reassess and uncover clarity from within. Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must be Clinical Measurement Physiologists who hold a recognised Irish qualification, or a qualification deemed equivalent by the IICMP and be employed in publicly funded hospitals in Ireland.
