NHSCPO Funding Opportunities in Disability and Children’s Mental Health

 

Following on from the huge demand in request for funding earlier this summer for the Neurodiversity Certificate in UCD, the HSCP Office are delighted to be in a position to offer additional funding opportunities in the areas of:

1. Children’s Mental Health

2. Disability

Places are available for full funding for a course entitled ‘The A-Z of Child and Adolescent Mental Health’ provided by Dr Blánaid Gavin & Fiona McNicholas from UCD. This course will address mental illnesses that arise across childhood and adolescence. Participants will explore accurate identification of key diagnostic characteristics and best practice approaches to assessment and treatment. This course will be delivered online on the following 4 dates:

· October 19th/20th from 10am -3.30pm

· Nov 23rd/24th from 10am -3.30pm

For any staff interested in applying for a funded places please complete the attached application form and return to cpd.hscp@hse.ie stating A-Z Children’s Mental Health in Subject Line by 25/09/23 @ 12pm.

In the area of Disability, UCD are offering a variety of training options. There is a post-graduate diploma in Disability available where students complete 6 core modules and then have the opportunity to proceed to complete an MSc if desired. See the following link here

There is also the option to study five of these modules as individual professional certificates – full details here Two of these start this month and the other 3 commence in early 2024.

Will the PG Diploma, Prof Cert in Disability Legislation and Policy, and Prof Cert in Advanced Disability Studies modules start this month, there is still the potential to get a places if we move quickly. Therefore we are asking anyone who would like to apply for funding for either of these 3 options to submit the attached application form by 20/09/23 @ 12pm to cpd.hscp@hse.ie

Applications for the remaining 3 Prof Certs must be submitted by 6/10/23 @ 5pm to cpd.hscp@hse.ie
