This workshop will be facilitated by Ann Parker.

Ann is an Independent Coach, Consultant and Trainer in Personal and Professional Development, for Higher Education and Health professions, and is also an Honorary Associate Professor, UCL (University College London) and a Special Scientific Associate, Cyprus University of Technology. Ann has specialised for many years in adult learning and development, including support for professionals involved in supervising and teaching students in clinical settings.

 

AIM OF WORKSHOP:

The exact content for the day is determined in the introductory discussion with participants, with the following overall aims:

  • Support for participants’ enthusiasm and confidence for working with students in clinical placements

 

  • Review of different approaches and models for professional and adult learning, and for mentoring and teaching roles

 

  • Exchange of practical ideas and development of new structures for learning

 

Discussion of professional skills for work with junior colleagues in clinical
