Title: Excel for Scientists: Uncertainty of Measurement & Multiple Linear Regression
Venue: Online
Date/Time: 23 May 2025, from 09:30 – 13:30
Brief outline: Following feedback from previous statistical training facilitated by the ACSLM in 2024, this training course will focus on key concepts in uncertainty of measurement and regression analysis, with a strong emphasis on hands-on application using Microsoft Excel. The course covers calculating and interpreting uncertainty of measurement, and will then move into multiple linear regression, demonstrating how to organise data, apply regression tools, and interpret statistical outputs such as regression coefficients, R², and p-values. A practical case study will be leveraged that ties both topics together, enabling participants to analyse scientific data and report meaningful results directly from Excel.
Note: Prior to the training you are encouraged to review the material from the previous training on Data Analysis in Excel – https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14227332.
Non-refundable €10 booking fee.
