HSCP Mid-career Leadership and Retention Workshop

The Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute (INDI) are pleased to lead out on this Interdisciplinary HSE NHSCPO-funded CPD Opportunity for HSCP’s who are in the middle stages of their career (7-12 years post-qualification, in a senior post).

DATE: Tuesday, 19th May ‘26 (Half-day workshop – starting at 9.30/10am).

VENUE: This is an in-person event, which will be held at Fumbally Stables, The Liberties, Dublin (close to Heuston Station)

COST: €20 registration fee – payable to your professional body.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • This CPD event is for HSCP’s who are mid-career, e.g. 7-12 years post-qualified, and in a senior post.
  • Participants must be HSE or Section 38/39 employees.
  • This CPD event is open to both Professional Body Members and Non-Members.

COURSE FACILITATOR: Fiona Buckley

Fiona Buckley has 25 years facilitation experience and is a well-known work behaviourist, master career coach and international key note speaker. She is also an Irish times best-selling author with her new debut book “The Courage to be you- in the workplace”. Fiona is known for her energy, relatability and practicality.

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

This interactive half-day workshop is designed for mid-career HSCPs (7–12 years post-qualification and in a senior post) and focuses on building:

  • Confidence in multidisciplinary environments
  • Leadership identity without formal authority
  • Practical skills for progression and influence
  • Sustainable ways of working under pressure

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Through a combination of facilitated discussion, individual reflection, paired/group exercises and exploring practical frameworks and tools, by the end of the course participants should be able to:

  • Articulate their value and contribution within Interdisciplinary settings
  • Apply practical influencing strategies
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviours
  • Approach challenging or upward conversations with greater confidence
  • Identify clear, realistic next steps for career progression
  • Use simple tools to manage pressure and protect capacity
