HSCP Advisory Group to the National Clinical Programme for Stroke- HSCP Reps
To support the Interim HSCP Lead(s) for the National Clinical Programme for Stroke (NCP Stroke).
Specific NCP Stroke workstreams include: implementation of the National Stroke Strategy, planning the roll out of the Early Supported Discharge programme for stroke, addressing the HSCP staffing gap in stroke care, ensuring that stroke care pathways are effectively and efficiently integrated between primary and secondary care and addressing research and education needs for HSCPs working in stroke care.
A number of HSCPs have participated in a range of working groups and informal linkages are strong between the HSCP leads and many HSCPs working in stroke. This group however, represents an opportunity to create a more formal and inclusive advisory group.
Purpose of the role:
• To represent their professional HSCP group at a national level with regards to best practice in stroke care.
• To liaise and collaborate with their professional HSCP group with regard to workstreams identified by the Interim HSCP Stroke Lead/ Advisory Group
HSCP representatives with expertise in stroke (senior, clinical specialist or Manager level) working in acute, rehab or community settings are now being sought to join the Advisory Group. Applications are open to any HSCP representative, working in stroke, who has a keen interest in representing their professional group at a national level with the aim of improving stroke care in Ireland. Up to two representatives from each HSCP profession are being sought to join the group.
FREQUENCY OF MEETINGS:
Meetings will take place every 4-8 weeks. There may be meetings outside of these meetings as required for some workstreams. The majority of meetings will be online via Microsoft Teams to facilitate maximum attendance of representatives. Some meetings may be held face to face.
