Andrea Ballantyne
Andrea Ballantyne is a Senior Cardiac Physiologist with 18 years’ experience, currently working in Sligo University Hospital (SUH), having previously worked in Beaumont Hospital.
Andrea worked as Practice Education Coordinator in DIT from 2013-2015.
Andrea worked as cardiology project lead (SUH) for implementation, integration and subsequent quality assurance of National Imaging Project (NIMIS), which involved representation at both local and national level.
She currently sits on the IICMP Academic Accreditation Council, the Clinical Measurement Professional Committee and is a Cardiac Faculty member since 2008.

She has a BSc (Hons) in Experimental Physics (NUIG), MPPM (Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement)(DIT), Post Graduate Diploma in Healthcare Science (St. Angela’s) and Post Graduate Diploma in Third Level Learning and Teaching (DIT)
Professional Qualifications include ASCST Part I and II and IBHRE. Currently completing BSE logbook.
